White Oak isn’t just about errands.
The area has grown into a destination for dining and entertainment, with restaurants ranging from familiar favorites to local options. You’ll find places such as Carolina Ale House, LongHorn Steakhouse, Logan’s Roadhouse and Buffalo Wild Wings, along with quicker choices including Chick-fil-A, Moe’s Southwest Grill and Alpaca Peruvian Charcoal Chicken.
And yes, Garner has its own movie theater. Regal White Oak makes dinner and a movie an easy evening out without driving into Raleigh.
Nearby Bass Pro Shops has even become something of an attraction itself. The large outdoor store draws visitors from around the Triangle, whether they’re shopping for fishing gear, looking at boats or just bringing the kids to see the aquarium.

What I find most interesting about White Oak isn’t any one store. It’s what the area represents.
Garner has grown tremendously over the years, but it hasn’t simply become an extension of Raleigh. Areas like White Oak have developed into centers of their own, where people can shop, dine, work and spend an evening close to home.
That changes the equation for people considering homes outside Raleigh.
You can choose a neighborhood with a little more room and a more relaxed setting without automatically signing up for a long drive every time you need something.
Location Still Matters in Real Estate
When people look for a home, they naturally pay attention to the house itself: the floor plan, the yard, the neighborhood and the price.
But where you’ll buy groceries on Wednesday night matters, too.
